Okay, so I guess a lot of you have heard about this fad; but if you haven’t, it’s all about how these berry supplements are meant to be full of anti-oxidants and give you all this energy. Basically they’re supposed to be really good for you, but if you research it, there is a special diet, where you are supposed to take these acai berry tablets along with colon cleanse tablets. After reading about them on the internet, this seemed like a slightly unbelievable weight loss diet, but thought I might as well give it a go. I’d spoken to another family member who had also read about them, who hadn’t got them yet, and wanted to see what I thought before she tried them. After the initial difficulties I had getting hold of them without being charged over £100 pounds for memberships that I didn’t want, or even realise I was paying for. I managed to get hold of both sets of tablets, using a dodgy site for the Colon cleanse, and the very reliable Holland and Barrett, where the Acai berry tablets happened to be on sale.
After finally plucking up the courage to actually start taking them (two Acai berry tablets first thing and last thing in the day, and two of the Colon cleanse last thing at night) I found that I barely felt any different, apart from needing to go to the bathroom a lot more frequently. But by day three I was really ill, and collapsed in agony on the landing, not knowing what to do with myself. Mum sat with me for an hour or so before the pain finally died. I stopped taking both sets of tablets.
I spoke to mum, and came to the conclusion it must be the Colon cleanse, as the bottle said that they had not been permitted by the food and drug administration. I tipped both the bottles of Colon cleanse (that had cost me £60) down the toilet. I waited for just over a week before I even dared to take the Acai berry supplements again.
I’ve now been taking the Acai berry tablets (two twice a day) for over a month, and they seem to have no affect at all. I don’t feel more energetic; in fact if anything I’m tired more often than I used to be. There has been no weight loss, and to be perfectly honest I think they’re a total waste of money. I’m going to run the course out, but I seriously doubt at this point, that they will have any positive effects now. I wouldn’t encourage anyone to buy them for this fad diet, but if you want to risk what I went through with the Colon cleanse, try them for yourself. Be very careful where you buy them from though, reading all the terms and conditions very carefully.
I will definitely be telling my family member not to even bother with them. There’s a lot of lies on the internet about this diet, and I feel it’s about time that someone told the truth. It’s just like nearly every other fad diet, dangerous and expensive. You’re better off eating smaller portions of food, and doing more exercise.

Wow, first year in 6th form all over with! It flew by! And now we have the summer hols, six whole weeks of hopeful sun I’m rather looking forward to it. A friend of mine is coming over from South Africa and staying with me for the second week of august, which should be brilliant. When the girls and I are also planning on having a shopping trip to Cardiff, for a very advanced look at dresses and ball gowns.
I’m trying to convince mum to let us get another kitten… but as we already have 5, this is proving to be a lot harder than first thought. Though I’m pretty sure she’d give in if I found a local add for ginger tabby kittens, as she really wants a ginger tabby
My cousins are up from Nottingham this week too, and I’m pretty sure Grandma will call us to organise a meeting with them, which of course I wouldn’t mind, but our grandma isn’t always the nicest to us.
Ben is also home tonight, after going on holiday to Spain for the week, so I’m hoping to see him later this week. Tomorrow should be good It was nans birthday yesterday, and so we’re going out for a meal with her and grandad tomorrow evening to The Harp Inn.

Right I better go, it’s dinner time.

Well, I’ve been in gwernyfed 6th form for 4 months now, and it seems to be going well not as hard as I thought it was. It’s still difficult though… I’m ahead in my art work, so for the next few weeks I can concentrate on doing my Math and Physic work and revision. Lucky for me I don’t have exams this month, unlike a lot of people in my year. I don’t have proper exams until march, and that’s only my art. My Physics and Math exams aren’t until june/ july sort of time right I better go, as I’m in art now, and my teacher is about to shout at me for not doing any work again…

Wow! I haven’t been on here for soooo long!

So I ought to give an update…

I am now in sixth form! In Gwernyfed High school. I got my GCSE results back in september (2010) and acheived an A* in art, four A grades, six B grades, two C grades and a D. Many of my friends had amazing results, but I was still proud of mine . I am now doing Art, Maths and Physics for my A levels, which I am doing for the next two years. I did my second practial exam in Physics today, which we were supposed to yesterday, but it was delayed due to school closing because of the snow yesterday.  I am doing my art exam in April, and then two physics and three maths exams in June/July (2010).

I can learn to drive in just over a month, and dad has already bought my car! Even though he wont let me have it until i have passed my test, and got my licence. It’s a 1.3 litre Ford Fiesta, with 5 doors, and its dark blue. I want to call it Nanna, but dad doesn’t want me to because he doesn’t want to tell people that the car he’s driving at the moment is called Nanna, as no one else will get it.It’s a cute little car, that had one previous owner, who was a little old lady, so it has barely any miles on the clock.

At the moment I am trying to do my art sketch book, so that I can get my first final piece done by christmas; which to be honest is quite a push at the moment. And I’m still ahead of everyone in my class, so I’m slightly worried for our whole class. We are also going to Paris in February, to visit several museums, including The Louvre, to see the Mona Lisa. We are also going to see the Eiffle Tower which Iam very excited about! I would especially like to see it lit up at night, as I think it is probably an amazing sight!

Hopefully I am going to keep this more updated now, and try and do a post at least once a week….

but im not sure how long that will last for….
